The second couple to host their My Kitchen Rules instant restaurant for 2018 was Alex and Emily.
The young hospitality couple from the Gold Coast chose the theme “Love From Miami’, because of their geographic location in Miami, and their love for food and each other.
However, it wasn’t all love when it came to their menu, mainly their dessert.

“It’s looking basic, the pineapples just look like they’re pineapples. What did they do,” Rachael remarked when the rum cake with golden syrup ice cream and pineapple was served.
The Sydney sisters agreed with Rachael (something they have failed to do so far).
“The cake is dry, the ice cream was really, really icy,” Emma said. Jess chimed in: “They’ve missed the mark”.

The judges somewhat agreed with the contestants, both giving scores of five for the dessert.
“What I enjoyed was all the flavours together on one spoon, but it wasn’t enough,” Manu said.
In the end, Alex and Emily were given a grand total score of 70, which puts the couple in second position on the leaderboard.
