My Kitchen Rules‘ second round of instant restaurants kicked off with Tasmanian truffle farmer siblings Henry and Anna.
Back by popular demand, Henry sent social media into a frenzy when he appeared on MKR last year when Damo and Caz bought truffles from the handsome farmer. “I’d be lying if I said it didn’t attract a little bit of attention,” the 26-year-old said.
And it seems as though the attraction has carried over into season 9, as Henry has already caught the eye of competitors Sonya and Louisa, from two different teams.
In Tuesday night’s instant restaurant , the ladies made it clear that they thought Henry was a total catch: a man with looks who can cook!

Sonya and her teammate Hadil walked into Henry and Anna’s kitchen whilst preparing meals, questioning Henry’s relationship status.
“It was like I was invisible,” Anna tells WHO. “They came in with these plates and made a beeline for Henry and pummelling Henry with questions and I just stood back and was like, where’s the popcorn, because I just wanted to watch this unravel. Then they left the kitchen and Henry was pretty rattled for 10 or so minutes and I had to push him to get back into gear.”
Henry agreed that Sonya and Hadil’s questioning, along with the stress of cooking for 16 people, including judges Pete and Manu ‘completely threw’ him.
“It was pretty crazy already,” he tells WHO. “A pretty stressful environment and Sonya and Hadil come in and just laid it on the table and it was quite the distraction”
As the instant restaurants continue, so does the attention on Henry. “It was a lot of fun but I was very uncomfortable a lot as well, no doubt,” he says. “I was struggling for words there quite a bit and I’m sure that will come across.”
But it’s not just Henry’s good looks and charm that the teams were impressed by during the first instant restaurant, the Tasmanian siblings were praised for their cooking skills as well.
“We were absolutely delighted,” Anna says, referring to their combined score of 107. “To expect 60 and get almost double that, we could not have been happier.”
