Piers Morgan’s personal vendetta against Meghan Markle has been public knowledge for some time. But the British TV host took things one step further earlier this week by sharing a private message the Duchess of Sussex allegedly sent him before becoming a royal.

Taking to Twitter, the host of Good Morning Britain shared a 2015 message from Meghan that read, “Well hello there. Thanks for the follow. Big fan of yours!”
Piers captioned the picture of her message: “In happier times… when Meghan first slid into my DMs… think it’s fair to say she’s probably not such a ‘big fan’ of mine now.”
However, the former newspaper editor’s swipe at Meghan appeared to backfire on him, as followers were largely critical of the fact he’d shared a private message.
One social media user wrote: “Your obsession with Meghan Markle is beyond unhealthy, it’s bordering on creepy.”
While another said: “This obsession is far from healthy Piers, seek some help.”
“Please get over this obsession with Meghan being your friend.”
Another said: “Hmm looks like you followed her first and she was being polite to you.”
Another added: “I’d say she’s probably got other things to think about at the moment besides whether she’s still a ‘big fan’ of a breakfast TV presenter tbh.”
Piers Morgan has previously claimed that he was “ghosted” by the former Suits actress after she met Prince Harry.
“I got on really well with her and then bang, she met someone more important and immediately ghosted,” he explained.
“I never heard from her ever again and the old slippery slope ladder had gone up and she social climbed her way out of my orbit.
“So my experience wasn’t great, I’ve got to be honest with you. And everything I’ve seen since does slightly smack of an actress, a Hollywood actress, seizing her chance and acting her way to the top.”
