Prince Harry paid a visit to the Burnell Street Sexual Health Clinic in London recently to take a HIV test and has a positive message to spread about the whole experience.
The 31-year-old English royal tested negative to the Human Immunodeficiency Virus in front of watching media to promote HIV testing and quick acting against the virus.
The prince flashed a smile as he waited for the on-the-spot results to be read to him by English specialist, psychotherapist Robert Palmer.
The prince, who has never publicly been tested for the condition before, said, “It’s amazing how quick it is.”
“It’s better that everyone goes and gets tested. Why wouldn’t you?,” he added. “Whether you’re a man, woman, gay, straight, black, white, whatever, even ginger, why wouldn’t you come and have a test?”
The prince is scheduled to head to Durban, South Africa, next week for the 21st International AIDS Conference. The conference runs Monday through July 22.
