Richard Wilkins and his son Christian share a strong bond, but as a joke before father’s day the son of the Today Show’s entertainment reporter decided to participate in a hilarious prank.
As part of the Kyle and Jackie O Show’s popular ‘Only Lying’ segment, Christian rang his dad to tell him he got a huge tattoo of a stag on his chest.
“I thought we decided that if you ever wanted to do that we would discuss it first?” Richard, 64, told his son after hearing about the ink.
“It was just in the moment,” the 23-year-old replied, before telling his father that it was the size of two adult palms.
“Stop it! Are you serious? Why would you do that?” Richard fired back.
Christian continued, telling Richard that he was going to share a photo of the tattoo on Instagram.
“Oh fantastic, tell everybody! Why do you have to post everything on Instagram anyway?” Richard said. “The world doesn’t need to know every single thing.”
Christian, known as the prince wilkins on Instagram, kept the prank going until he got home that night.
