Former Australia’s Next Top Model star Simone Holtznagel has welcomed her first child!
Taking to Instagram to share the exciting news, Simone wrote, “On Sunday, March 31st, we welcomed our healthy baby girl Gia Holtznagel Castano into the world.”
“We are totally and completely in love with her and enjoying these special moments as a family of three,” she continued, sharing an adorable snap of herself and partner Jono Castano with their newborn daughter.

Following the announcement, friends and family took to the comments to share in the celebrations.
“This put a big smile on my face. So happy for you. Look at the little guns on her already. Never to young to start your 45 Daily right?!” wrote Sam Mac.
“Oh my! That little face. And that hair. Absolutely precious. Gia is diviiine. Huge congrats you three!” added Melissa Hoyer.
News of their daughter’s arrival comes just over six months since Simone first confirmed her pregnancy, exclusively telling WHO, “It has felt extra-long keeping it a secret!”
The pair, who went public with their romance in June 2022, admitted that they were both over the moon about their impending new arrival.
“We’re super excited,” Holtznagel gushed. “The first couple of weeks were a little bit tricky, but not as bad as some other people have it. We’re just very grateful.”
After feeling unusually sick while on the way home from a Maldives trip to celebrate her 30th birthday, Holtznagel took a pregnancy test on a whim. And while the result was somewhat of a surprise for the model and her A-list trainer beau, 32, a baby had been on the agenda for the couple.
“Kids have always been in our plan. And then in the past six months, we started talking about it more and more and then it happened,” an overjoyed Holtznagel revealed.
“Just before we got pregnant, there were so many nights that we’d be laying in bed saying, ‘Well when we have kids this’ and ‘When we have kids that’. And now it’s happening!”
Having already found out they were expecting a daughter, Holtznagel admitted Castano is going to make “a great girl dad.”
And despite the star struggling with some intense fatigue that often comes in pregnancy, the pair – with the help of some super excited grandparents – had already started to get ready for the little one’s arrival.
“We have two names that we both really love,” she added. “I’ve only bought two items of clothing … but my mum and [Jono’s] mum have both bought me some little presents which is very sweet.”
