Two former Australian soap rivals just got married – and no one even knew they were dating!
The 100 co-stars Eliza Taylor and Bob Morley delighted their fans over the weekend by sharing the news via social media that they had tied the knot.
“Recently I married my best friend and soul mate @WildpipM,” 29-year-old Eliza told her Twitter followers.
“We are very happy and ask that you keep your comments kind and respect our privacy at this time.”
The Aussie actress also included a sweet picture of herself and Bob embracing and showing off their wedding bands after saying their ‘I do’s.’
Taking to his own Twitter account, 34-year-old Bob – who is believed to have been dating 28-year-old actress Arryn Zech until earlier this year – wrote: “It is with such a full heart that I call @miselizajane my wife. This is something we both cherish very deeply and are beyond happy. Please remember to be respectful and kind to one another. Be well, be kind.”
The pair are both originally from Melbourne and began their careers staring in rival Aussie soaps, with Eliza playing Janae Timmins in Neighbours from 2005 until 2008, and Bob starring as Drew Curtis on Home and Away from 2006 until 2008.
However, both the actors now star together in The 100 – which is filmed in Canada – playing Clarke Griffin and Bellamy Blake since 2014.
Reverend James Chun, who officiated the wedding, also took to social media to celebrate the newlyweds.
“What an honor to officiate over the ceremony of two amazing souls. So warm and tender with one another. Congratulations Eliza + Bob,” he wrote, confirming the couple had married on May 6 in Hawaii
Eliza’s wedding dress designer, Miyuki Liem Bridal revealed it was a pleasure to work with Eliza.
She’s absolutely stunning and humble kindest person I’ve ever met. Congratulations to the sweetest couple!
