Tom Gleeson’s controversial Gold Logie win is still causing waves amongst his fellow media peers – and now, Tracy Grimshaw is weighing in.
The A Current Affair presenter labelled the comedian as ‘smug’ and ‘graceless’ during his lengthy acceptance speech, in which he mercilessly mocked the prestigious awards.

‘The newly minted Gold Logie winner advised us all last night to lighten up. How light did he want it?,’ a clearly irked Grimshaw began.
‘Julia Morris was wearing Costa’s beard, Pete Helliar was wearing a Logie. We were celebrating achievement in an industry whose main purpose is to entertain, and also happens to employ thousands of Australians – an industry the Gold Logie winner smugly told us last night was ”dying”.
‘We all waited for him to change pace and close his speech with some grace, but no chance. Hilarious.’
Gleeson peppered his eight-minute acceptance speech with jokes about his fellow nominees and defended his smear campaign against them, stating his delight at winning for ‘taking the p**s’ and ‘not giving a s**t’.
Tracy isn’t the only star to have slammed the controversial comedian. Fellow nominee Amanda Keller was pictured looking stony-faced during his acceptance speech. Whilst former Today star Karl Stefanovic – who Tom gleefully roasted during his opening monologue – labelled the Hard Quiz host a ’24 karat gold tosser,’ and Hamish Blake described him as ‘an Aussie battler ripping off your Logie votes’.
