He’s been plagued by unsubstantiated affair rumours ever since he directed and starred in A Star Is Born with Lady Gaga last year.
However, despite whispers to the contrary, Bradley Cooper’s no-show at the Met Gala on Monday May 6 had nothing to do with the fact that he would face a potentially awkward run-in with his former co-star.
According to a rep, the actor was forced to leave his partner, Irina Shayk, to walk the red-carpet solo because of work commitments.
A spokesperson for the 44-year-old said that he was in Los Angeles working as a producer on post-production of Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker movie.
