Just days after surprising fans by announcing she’s six months pregnant with her first child, Pretty Little Liars star Shay Mitchell has announced the gender of her unborn child in the most unique way.

The 32-year-old confirmed she is expecting a baby girl with boyfriend Matte Babel by posting a picture of her baby bump on Instagram with the caption “Does this mean I’m allowed to drive in the car pool lane at all times now?”
And now the You star has shared the unusual theme for her gender reveal party via her YouTube channel.
The actress recruited her assistant to hire two actors to dress up as a pink and a blue Power Ranger, with the two characters play fighting until eventually the pink Power Ranger overpowered the blue, revealing that the couple are having a girl.
“I truly think I am having boy because, ugh, just the retribution of having a girl. My parents would just look at me and be like, ‘It’s karma bitch.'” Shay joked earlier on in the video.
Shay’s baby news is especially poignant given the tragic miscarriage she suffered last year.
“The support and affection that so many of you show me lifts me up during even my darkest days, one of which happened last year after I miscarried and lost the child of my hopes and dreams,” she shared via her Instagram stories.
The actress is reportedly due late September.
