Princess Eugenie just shared an adorable photograph of herself as a child wearing a wedding dress – and it’s surprisingly similar to the dress she wore to her October 2018 wedding to Jack Brooksbank.
The 28-year-old granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth posted the cute throwback snap on Instagram with the caption: ‘Same same but different…#tbt’.
The young princess looks to be around 5 years old in the snap, which shows her dressed up in a long-sleeved white dress (that’s surprisingly similar to the bespoke Peter Pilotto gown Eugenie wore to her Windsor wedding), with a pretty floral headdress and veil, clutching a bouquet of white flowers.
It looks like the princess has been dreaming of her wedding day for a long time, with Eugenie posting the throwback pic of herself as a little girl alongside a photograph of her on her own big day – and it appears she predicted her wedding day look all those years ago.
Smiling for the camera, young Eugenie holds a bouquet that’s almost identical to the one she chose for her wedding, however the flower crown was replaced with the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik tiara, borrowed from her grandmother, and she chose not to wear a veil in order to show the scar on her back from her childhood scoliosis surgery.
Outfits from the royal wedding, including Eugenie’s dress and Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress, are on display at Windsor Castle until April 22 at a special exhibition named: A Royal Wedding: HRH Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank.
