Former star of The O.C. and Hart of Dixie Rachel Bilson is set to return to TV in upcoming series Lovestruck.
Based on a French series, Quadras, Lovestruck will follow a wedding as it unfolds over a single night, with Bilson to play the bride, Daisy Valentine.
Andie MacDowell and Australia’s Richard Roxburgh have signed on to play Daisy’s parents, with the show decribed as “structurally inventive” as it depicts all the events that take place at the wedding.
An official teaser from US network FOX reveals the show will delve into the stories of the entire wedding party, saying, “We’ll learn surprising reveals about both their present and past. We’ll see that things aren’t always what they seem and explore the complicated bonds of love, friendship and family at different stages of life.”
Lovestruck is the latest show from Tom Kapinos, the creator Californication and Lucifer. For Bilson, it follows her role in the recently axed Take Two, a crime dramedy in which she starred opposite Eddie Cibrian.
