The Real Housewives of Melbourne are back! Returning to our screens for a fifth season after more than three years off the air.
The original housewives – Jackie Gillies, Janet Roach and Gamble Breaux – will be joined by four fresh faces, rounding out the cast as other fan-favourites like Gina Liano and Lydia Schiavello pulled out of the season.

While Gina has made it clear why she made the decision – wanting to focus on her career – Lydia hasn’t been quite as outspoken.
One thing’s for sure, their original co-stars are missing them in the new season.
“I have to be honest and tell you that at first, it wasn’t easy getting to know the four new ladies,” Jackie recently told WHO.
“One thing I kind of miss is like Gina and I could have a massive barney, that’s our European passion coming out, then it was like, bang, it’s done,” the star continued. “Straight after filming we’d be like, ‘Girl! What was that all about?’ Some of the new ladies though, there’d be an argument and then they wouldn’t talk to you for days!”
As for the new housewives, the originals will be joined by Cherry Dipietrantonio, Simone Elliot, Kyla Kirkpatrick and Anjali Rao.
Scroll through to meet the cast of Real Housewives of Melbourne, Season Five.
Jackie Gillies
Season Five Tagline: Watch out world because I’m shining brighter than ever.
One of just two longstanding cast members joining the fifth season, Jackie has been a favourite among fans since the beginning. The psychic and businesswoman is married to Silverchair drummer Ben Gillies, with the pair recently announcing that they’re expecting twins. Following a long IVF journey, Jackie’s pregnancy will be a major storyline of the new season.
Janet Roach
Season Five Tagline: I don’t like trouble unless I’ve caused it.
Another original from Season One, Janet is known for her sassy one-liners. There’s a reason her Season Four tagline was: “If you’re offended by what I say, imagine what I’m thinking.”
She’s a mother to two boys in their 30s and a proud business entrepreneur. A former property developer, she’s now the co-founder of Raw Essentials Tea and The Roach Foundation.
Gamble Breaux
Season Five Tagline: I’m not fool, but I don’t mind acting like one.
Joining the show in its second season, Gamble has been at the heart of many of the show’s most memorable moments. Who remembers the ‘stripper’ saga? Gamble is married to Dr Richard Wolfe and is a proud step-mum to his son, Luke.
Anjali Rao
Season Five Tagline: Fake news I can handle, fake people? Not in this life.
Award-winning journalist Anjali is making her RHOMelbourne debut in 2021. The former CNN reporter previously dated Jamie Durie, and has one son from her marriage to Brett Gullan.
“Crazy excited to be among these stellar women,” she said when the cast was announced earlier this year. “Sorry about the wait, everyone, but with seven badasses coming your way, it will have been worth it.”
Cherry Dipietrantonio
Season Five Tagline: Life is a journey, not a competition.
Say hello to Cherry! She’s a yoga teacher, personal trainer and mother of three. Seen in a heated argument in one of the show’s first teasers, it’s clear Cherry will have some major moments when the show returns.
“What I can say is that hanging out with this group of fabulous sassy ladies teaches you to stand up for yourself pretty damn quick,” Cherry says on Instagram. ” They certainly don’t cast us for our shrinking violet, diplomatic qualities, in fact I think they saw a side to us before we even knew it was there.”
Kyla Kirkpatrick
Season Five Tagline: Diamonds aren’t a girl’s best friend, champagne is.
Touted as the ‘Champagne Dame,’ Kyla made her fortune as the CEO of Emperor Champagne & Fizztopia. The glamorous self-made businesswoman is also a mother, to her young daughter Arlington.
“This will be a bumpy ride so hang onto your champagne!” she teased of the new season.
Simone Elliott
Season Five Tagline: Keep your standards high and your stilettos higher.
Last, but certainly not least, is Simone. A businesswoman, who was just awarded her MBA in business after years of studying, she’s also a mother to two children.
When the cast was first announced in April, Simone said: “Today I met an incredible, unique and strong group of women who together are going to create a fabulous season you cannot miss, stay tuned for all the drama.”
The Real Housewives of Melbourne premieres Sunday, October 10, 8.30pm on FOXTEL.
