Yesterday, Sophie Monk underwent surgery after receiving a shock endometriosis diagnosis. Now the singer has received the best possible news.
Taking to Instagram Stories, a video of a post-op Monk shows the singer sleeping soundly.
We hear the doctor and nurses saying, “Operation is finished, she’s got a good response.”
While Monk penned on top of the video, “Only I’d ask to be filmed under. Best sleep I’ve had in years,” before thanking the “angel” staff.
Earlier in the day, the singer shared a video that shows the doctor telling her, “We did find some endometriosis.”
She captioned the footage, “So many women live not knowing they have endometriosis. If you have annoying cycles, you should ask your doctor.”
The former Bachelorette has not spoken on the record about the condition before, and there has been no further comment about her condition.
Endometriosis is a condition where cells similar to those that grow in the lining of the uterus grow outside of it, often causing intense pain.
