Cowgirl

Cowgirl’s first teaser hinted at her status as a “Grammy-winning global superstar” and “reality TV queen,” with the judges calling her a “world-class performer.”

Fans were also offered a few more clues about Cowgirl’s identity during her first episode. “The one thing everyone believes about cows is that we’re vegan – you’d think we’d leave certain foods untouched… We don’t like staying in one place, even when we’re young. Obviously, I’m not in the same place I was born,” she shared.

In the third episode of the 2023 season, Cowgirl also teased, “I enjoy the things that make life spicy, but it’s not following the herd and I’m not a toy, you know? I’m not battery-powered. Well, I was once.”

Returning for the fifth episode, Cowgirl also shared, “I’m the first to say I’m no lady, but I’m no mean girl either. It’s the other girls who were mean to me on screen. I’m just happy to be who I am, and anyone else I choose to be.”

During the seventh episode of the season, Cowgirl shared, “Strangely, for a Cow Girl, you won’t always find me out on the range. Actually, enclosed spaces are good too. That’s not to say I stay in one spot. So many countries welcome me with open arms! But I keep returning to my favourite place and where some Hot Wheels can be found!”

Following her final performance, Cowgirl was unmasked as RuPaul’s Drag Race star Courtney Act.

Crash Test Dummy

Crash Test Dummy was first teased as a Hollywood heartthrob, sporting superstar, and million-record seller.

“As a Crash Test Dummy I’m used to being slammed… a lot! Of course, it could make you angry, make you burst into flames, but not me, I always manage. That’s because I’m always being watched intensely. There are cameras in every direction and when you live like I do you can have countless lives,” he revealed.

“In my life, I’ve learned everyone wants to take the gold but from the start. I was one step behind that, but I’m close to other colours too! Let me say one last thing, a Crash Test Dummy doesn’t travel far each time, but it adds up to nearly a hundred thou’ and I like the sound of that!”

The charismatic character was the first to be unmasked for the 2023 season, with Beverly Hills, 90210 star Brian Austin Green being revealed at the end of the first episode.

Space Fairy

Space Fairy’s appearance on The Masked Singer Australia was shrouded with mystery, with her clue touting her as “the mask they’re saying no one will ever guess” and “the biggest reveal yet.”

“Landing in Australia, was it love at first sight? There’s no drama in that, but it’s too much having a life dissected in minute detail… You can probably tell this isn’t really my space, I prefer the sun. Somewhere filled with light! There’s no shame in that,” Space Fairy teased, with fans already eager to uncover the serious star power behind the mask.

During Space Fairy’s second appearance, she offered a few more handy hints before her performance of Elvis Presley’s Always On My Mind.

“In my time on Earth, I’ve learned you can’t get on with everyone, especially when you don’t ‘meet’ their expectations. Silly sausages. Some people will swallow anything when forced to, especially when the experts make the match.”

Despite her out-of-this-world performance, Space Fairy was unmasked during the fifth episode of The Masked Singer Australia; revealing Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby as the celebrity singer.

Bouncer

Teased as “the Hollywood heartthrob,” Bouncer’s first performance of Ray Charles’ Hit the Road Jack was an instant hit with the judges. Although the guesses of Bouncer’s identity varied from 5 Seconds of Summer’s Luke Hemmings to TV host Nick Lachey, the kangaroo did offer a few handy hints to help fans uncover the voice behind the mask.

“Where I come from, it’s hot. Almost 100 in the old money and everything I’ve got is from the sweat of my brow. You know, being a big red – well that’s in my DNA. You’ve got no choice but to be what you’ll be from a young age,” revealed Bouncer’s cryptic clue.

“This Bouncer gets around, in fact, you can find roos like me from the forest to the lakes. Even the city of angels! Or at this bowlo. Hey, it’s better than working in a hotel. Let me tell ya, it’s not natural to sleepwalk through life so don’t even think about holding me up.”

Returning for the seventh episode, Bouncer shared, “Being a Bouncer takes more brawn than brain. I’ve got both because I’m quite the athlete. I’ve been on the biggest sporting stage. I’m not being defensive now, I don’t care what anyone says. No one could ever accuse this roo of being disloyal. You know, even when I went solo I still sought some company.”

During the grand finale of The Masked Singer Australia, Bouncer was crowned as the third-place winner, with Australian singer-songwriter Conrad Sewell being unmasked.

Snow Fox

Although glimpses of Snow Fox’s identity were closely protected throughout the season, her first performance of Avicii’s Addicted to You led judge Mel B to call her “a global superstar.”

During her first appearance, Snow Fox shared, “My pulse has to beat fast. You know, little snow foxes are looked after well by their parents. It was during Snow Fox High School that my abilities became apparent. Now that I’m older, I have the drive needed to stay alive.”

Following Snow Fox’s performance of Lizzo’s 2 Be Loved during her second on-stage appearance, the frosty fox offered a few more handy hints, telling the audience, “Living somewhere this beautiful is a dream. Home sweet home. You know, I’ve been through intense training.”

“I’ve been conservative and I’ve been wild. Both need you to be confident, it’s a state of mind. My life as a Snow Fox is survival of the fittest. Competition is everywhere you look. Sometimes you’re number one, number two… or number 29.”

Following her show-stopping final performance of Ariana Grande’s Dangerous Woman, Snow Fox was crowned the winner of The Masked Singer Australia 2023, with X-Factor star Dami Im being unmasked.

Grim Reaper

Dubbed the season’s spookiest costume, Grim Reaper’s first performance of Billie Eilish’s when the party’s over had both judges and fans getting their guesses ready.

“Maybe I started out Grim, but now, I actually enjoy life… Being the Grim Reaper has sudden highs and lows… I come to lead your soul so you step into the light… My job never stops. No time off, but millions of happy customers,” revealed Grim Reaper’s first clue.

“The way I dress is quite the throwback, like something from another era… but how long ago? You know, I escort the souls of the dead, so I understand if I’m not popular. I get it, but that’s the gig,” the clue continued, with both the judges and fans believing that the voice behind the mask belonged to Savage Garden frontman Darren Hayes.

During his third appearance, Grim Reaper hinted, “This job can get lonely, even with so many people around me. It’s funny, that’s why I get clay feet in the country. I know being a Grim Reaper is an important job, but I have dreamed of doing something else, but let’s get serious. It’s in my DNA and, in the end, this is what I do. I probably can’t start again.”

During his grand finale performance, both the judges and fans were delighted to discover that they had guessed correctly, with Darren Hayes being unmasked as the competition’s runner-up.

Blue Bottle’s teaser hinted at her appearance making the latest season of The Masked Singer Australia “spicier than ever.”

Judge Mel B also picked up on the spice, sharing that she believed her bandmate, Baby Spice Emma Bunton, was behind the mask.

While her identity was yet to be revealed, Blue Bottle dropped a few hints to help the judging panel uncover her identity.

“As you can see, I’m a Blue Bottle, although I had no choice in the colour. I’m a little animal with a big warning. I can cause you severe pain. Don’t worry, [I have] no license to kill, just annoy.”

“I could teach you all a thing or two. Do you find me beautiful? Well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.”

Following her second appearance, Blue Bottle was unmasked as The Block judge Shaynna Blaze.

Bad Avocado

Bad Avocado’s performance of Neiked & Mae Muller’s Better Days led to Mel B cracking open her infamous bedazzled celebrity dossier to help her solve the mystery of who is behind the mask.

Initially hinted to be a “rebellious rocker” and a “billion stream powerhouse,” Bad Avocado’s first clue offered a cryptic insight into the identity of the hidden celebrity singer.

“People treat me like they know me, that’s enough to brown off anyone…  I was a bit green when I came to attention. You’d think that would make me highly strung, but I know when to call it quits and just let it slide. Would you like a slice?”

In the third episode of The Masked Singer Australia, Bad Avocado was revealed to be Summer Warne.

Fawn

The Masked Singer Australia hinted at Fawn’s identity as “Aussie royalty.” It appeared that the judges had also picked up on the cryptic clue, with Fawn’s performance of Don’t ‘Cha leading Mel B to believe that former judge Jackie ‘O’ Henderson was behind the mask.

“As a Fawn, I spend a lot of my time camouflaged. You don’t really see the real me. Not completely. I’m always on the move. Maybe that’s why fitness plays such a big part in my life. Okay, let me be direct about this – like Bambi, there’s often heartbreak around me, but I need to be the model of composure by giving 100 every single time,” her clue revealed.

With clues about fitness, hockey sticks and heartbreak, the Fawn kept the judges guessing about who could be under the mask before it was revealed to be Ten newsreader, Sandra Sully.

Tiny

Dressed in an adorable multi-coloured monster suit, Tiny had been teased as a “celebrity super dad.”

“I’m Tiny and nothing much scares me. I think we all know that’s true. Sorry, forgive my speed. I’m not as fast as I used to be.”

“As a monster, I’m top of my class. One step ahead… Here ye, here ye, let my voice be heard all over the world. You know, there’s a lot of opportunities as a monster. It’s actually very difficult choosing what to do. Do you really need to know more about me? Or is it ‘fin? That means the end,” continued Tiny’s clue.

“People say that I look scary. Really? You don’t like the way I look? Well, that’s just swell. So look at my house, well let me tell you I’m miles from where I started. I won’t sugarcoat it, this is nothing like my first home, which was just a billabong.”

Following Tiny’s final performance of Post Malone’s Wrapped Around Your Finger, the cuddly creature was unmasked as Australian musician Pete Murray.

Orca

With three celebrities unmasked, Orca was announced as a newcomer to The Masked Singer Australia, with the latest celebrity mask making their first appearance during the fifth episode of the season.

Prior to her performance, Orca hinted, “I’m one of the big fish around here, but when you look at the waters I swim in, they’re massive! Right now, I’m probably not in my natural home. It’s a really big decision to break away from your pod, but when you start the hunt as young as I did, it’s something you have to do.”

“To an Orca, family is important… although growing up was a three-ring circus. Or was it five rings? That’s counting absolutely everybody.”

During Orca’s second appearance, she shared, “Orcas can be found all over the world – some migrate. You see, we even enjoy the heat! Although you can find Orcas all over the world – New Zealand, Italy, Poland… Poland?! You know, some people think Orcas are dangerous, that we have a dark side, that we leave our prey all torn, but you’ll just have to let me tell my own story.”

Following her final performance of Fleetwood Mac’s Dreams, Orca was unmasked as Sheppard musician Amy Sheppard.

Burger Gal

Introduced to The Masked Singer Australia during the sixth episode of the season, Burger Gal’s food-themed hints had quickly caused fans to speculate.

“Everybody loves a burger. Tasty, with an aroma you could bottle! And when it comes to fast food, you know I’m the victorious one. I’m so proud to be a burger and I’ve witnessed some amazing things. Of course, my mother was very driven. You would know Dad if you kept up with my life or reality shows,” Burger Gal revealed.

“You can ask my grandfather or nephew. For them, the burger is the royalty of food and they both have principles. Now, I hear some people play with their food, but I’m nobody’s toy. Well, except for that one time ha ha ha. So how do you like your burger? With a hot potato? Or like me, with ten ingredients!”

Following her second performance of Doja Cat and SZA’s Kiss Me More, Burger Gal was revealed as La Toya Jackson.

“Some people dread the big blue, but not me because over time I made friends on the high seas… a lot of friends, like stingrays! I love stingrays. They helped me keep my dreams afloat. Seriously, if you can’t handle the fun my way on my cruise, you need to toughen up like me!”

Following his performance of DJ Otzi’s Hey Baby, the Captain was revealed as AFL star Brendan Fevola.
