The Sunday Telegraph reveals that the couple are alleged to have split before Christmas. George is also believed to have moved out of their home in Mosman’s Beauty Point in North Sydney.
The former couple’s split means the future of their multi-million dollar restaurant empire, The Gregan Group – which consists of 24 cafes, bars and restaurants – is now uncertain.
The couple own multiple restaurants across Australia including various GG espresso cafes, George Bar & Bistro Kingsgate in Fortitude Valley, Queensland and Grab and Go Café on Castlereagh St, Sydney.
However it is believed Erica’s position as managing director of the company will remain.
The couple married in 1998 on Fiji’s Turtle Island and share three children together, son Max, 18, and daughters, Charlie, 17, and Jazz, 15.
The couple are also patrons of The George Gregan Foundation, which they founded after their son, Max was diagnosed with epilepsy in 2005.
The Foundation has raised funds for sick children and built playgrounds across Australia, however it is set to close down in 2021.
The couple have been under pressure for the past year after a business partnership soured in 2019, leading to lawsuits and to counter lawsuits that made headlines in December.
