It’s a question Taylor Swift fans will often find themselves asking: what is blondie up to now?
Known for her shenanigans, tomfoolery, and hidden hints, Taylor has turned her fans into the ultimate detectives – constantly searching for new clues as to her next move.
When Taylor first announced that the Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version) would be dropping on Disney Plus on March 15, it was set to be released at midnight. Where to watch the Eras Tour concert film in Australia
Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour was available to rent from December 14 on Prime Video, following a cinematic release in 2023.
Then Taylor revealed the concert movie will be available to watch on Disney+ for all subscribers in March. It will be available from March 14 from 9pm EST. In Australia, this time shift will mean the film drops at 1pm AEDT on March 15.
Why did Taylor shift the release time? Some fans are speculating she’ll make a grand announcement at midnight.
What bonus songs will be in The Eras Tour on Disney?
While announcing the change to the release schedule, Taylor also confirmed some additional music would be seen on the small screen that didn’t make the cinematic edit.
“This week is truly the best kind of chaos,” she said in the Instagram caption. “For the first time we’ll be showing the entire concert (including ‘cardigan’, plus 4 additional songs from the acoustic section!!) and I’m calling it, huge shock, ‘Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version).'”
It’s not yet known which bonus songs will make the edit, but some fans are speculating it could have to do with her yet-to-be-released Taylor’s Versions of reputation and her debut album, Taylor Swift.
Swifties are expecting an announcement of some sort around midnight, when viewers in the US timezone will roughly be finishing up watching the concert film following its 9pm release.
What is the Eras Tour concert film?
Taylor has previously filmed several tours, including Speak Now, 1989 and Reputation. During Covid the songstress also recorded an “intimate filmed concert” called Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions, which you can stream on Disney Plus.
So, it was no surprise to fans when additional cameras and “film notices” were spotted at the Los Angeles show on August 3rd.
The film premiered to rave reviews from fans and critics in 2023, bringing the lengthy concert to life on the big screen with incredible audio of her live performances and impressive visuals from the stage.
How long is the Eras Tour concert film?
The live show spans over three hours, with a set list of 44 songs divided into 10 distinct acts, set over the course of three action-packed hours.
The initial run time of the film was 2 hours and 45 minutes. With the addition of new songs, it seems it will take us over the three hour mark at home. And right into midnight, for whatever potential announcements Taylor has up her glittering sleeves.
Ahead of the cinematic release, Event Cinemas described the project as a “cultural phenomenon…[continuing] on the big screen! Immerse yourself in this once-in-a-lifetime concert film experience with a breathtaking, cinematic view of the history-making tour.”
Disney CEO Bob Iger also praised the superstar in a news release, “The Eras Tour has been a true phenomenon that has and continues to thrill fans around the world, and we are very excited to bring this electrifying concert to audiences wherever they are, exclusively on Disney Plus.”
